Working in collaboration with ITWAL and our participating suppliers, our members enjoy the economic benefit of our Value Added Network Investment (VANI) across thousands of retail and foodservice products represented by hundreds of suppliers.
We provide a unified group supporting national brand manufacturers in reinforcing the bottom-line vitality and health of our member distributors in partnership with the sales and distribution objectives of the participating suppliers.
We are pleased to announce that management and negotiation of all Foodservice Food programs will be handled directly by ITWAL effective January 1, 2022. We have chosen this route for several reasons including ensuring easier access for Suppliers to the ITWAL selling organization, better delivery against our motto of Support the Participating Suppliers, and to rebuild our valuable direct Supplier relationships within ITWAL to control our own destiny and improve member earnings.
Secondly, regarding programs for the Non-Food business, we are pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2022, ITWAL joined Balpex Inc. Their not-for-profit collective operations model and values are very similar to ITWAL’s. Joining Balpex allows us easy access to many of the same vendors, with significantly improved scale and earnings for all. We look forward to working with them, and leveraging their expertise, in this rapidly changing area of our business.
Effective January 1st, 2022, ITWAL became a member of Balpex. As a result, all ITWAL members are also part of Balpex.
